Q: PSU type? Egreat A11 has an IEC C14 power socket. We ship an IEC C13 power lead suitable for the country the order is being shipped to. Europe - 2-pin Europlug, UK - fused 3-pin UK, USA/Canada - 2-pin US, Australia/New Zealand - 2-pin Australian. If you have a request for a specific power lead type please email us.

Sorry Futeko but you should be shipping 3-pin power cords for all countries not just UK to make the box Earthed as it is designed for. I am aware that this requires multiple types of cords for various countries within Europe. Obviously a 2-pin cord just works but the better design advantage is lost.

The socket on the box is the most common standard for professional equipment and finding an obsolete matching power cord should be very easy. This for those wanting to swap it for a quality cable. Desktop PC power cables are good examples.

All our cables for A11 are earthed. I will clarify the description.

An overview of the HDR Mode option that allows you to use your full HD TV with UHD HDR videos and the Egreat.

I am updating the A5 with the FW 1.2.6.6



I keep the options by default (HDR mode : AUTO)

I used the same movie but with 2 different quality

-ISO UHD HDR (59 go)
-MKV (8.30 go)

the TV is a LG 32LB5800-UG and I have a wifi connection for the test.

IMPORTANT

I am not an expert and I just report what I see with my eyes.

I watched the 1080p MKV movie for a while to keep in memory the colors / contrast / etc ....

after that I watched the ISO UHD HDR ....

Conclusion

there is no faded color problem or other problem with the image ...
The HDR mode works properly on my little TV LG.

I watched UHD HDR demos and colors, contrast, etc ... was good as if it was a 1080p video

for the owners of Full HD TV, you can use the Egreat with your UHD HDR movie, there are no problems

Hi all,

For those who are interressing to change the wallpaper of the main menu, here is a solution that is available on the Egreat forum.


For those who have a UHD tv you can choose a 2160p wallpaper

just rename your images (jpeg) in: background2 and background1.

background2.jpg --> is show as default when custom theme is active
background1.jpg --> use after 30 sec of idle

you can choose to put the same image for both as by default.

From your PC, open the folder Autologo and replace the original images by yours.

Here is the path on my PC to access the Autologo file



In the ''Theme option'', choose "Custom" at the bottom of the page and your new wallpaper will appear.

Hi all,

Egreat has done a good job since my previous tests.



I use the Egreat A11 for a few days with the FW1.2.6.6 and I am satisfied with the evolution of the box.

+ now the Picture Quality is equivalent to zidoo / zappiti (in my opinion).

+ I am satisfied with their POSTER V2.0, it works very well with my videotheque, the small problems have disappeared, Egreat did a very good job and I know that Egreat continues to work the improvement of their apk.

+ Compared to the A5/10 and others competitor.... when i use the dual hdmi, it removes the problem of loss of signal on my TV or the black screen during the framerate switch.

There are still some bugs to fix like all the android box following the use that people have with their Egreat but now I can see my collection of movies in better condition than before


I'm sure the next FW will bring a lot of improvement / fix
