Hi,
I've used the KDlinks A300 (Q10) for some time now, and recently tried to upgrade to a Q10 Pro. Since I need to return my unit, I thought this would be a good time to ask a different question before deciding to roll the dice again.
A main use of my A300 is to play back ISOs of my DVD collection. It does a pretty nice job of it, but obviously I'm at a dead end as far as updating my Kodi related apps, due to the android revision. I use SPMC because the deinterlacing options in the main Kodi branch were not as good. However, as of the last revision of SPMC that works on my A300, Yadif 2x (the ideal deinterlacer) is not working. The playback quickly goes out of sync, with the video lagging behind the audio. Using the latest SPMC on my Samsung phone, Yadif 2x works perfectly on a DVD ISO.
However, this is the Pro subforum and I'm not looking for advice for my A300.
My question is simply whether anyone here has used SPMC to play back an interlaced DVD on their Q10 Pro. Have you used Yadif 2x? And does it work in sync? If Kodi has incorporated Yadif 2x into their main branch, that would work too potentially.
Thanks
Edit: I've tested out Yadif2x with both the old and the latest SPMC on my Samsung S7 and it works perfectly fine. So it seems to be an issue with what the A300 hardware can handle. The question is just whether the Q10 Pro was enough of a step up for this (I've read it confirmed that the Shield can handle it).
