Q10 Remote Control
« on: April 28, 2017, 03:33:41 AM »
I am having a problem with the standard remote, very often the led glows dim and unable to power on/off and also affecting other functions, I found sometimes removing the batteries works, can I reset the remote or is it defective.

Many Thanks in anticipation.

Sounds like it needs new batteries, but I'm guessing you've tried that already.

The red LED at the top should glow bright, so if it isn't with new batteries then it could be a hardware problem.

If you bought it from us please email us, we don't deal with individual warranty issues on the forum. mail@futeko.com

Taking about remote controls: Why is Futeko selling this Riitek variant: http://www.futeko.com/products/AC111.php ? It is a nice remote but it can be even more versatile.
The same remote is made by Riitek in a few variants the one described here being the most basic version. Other variants looking absolutely identical (under various brands or nameless) have also a built-in microphone and more important all keys are IR programmable not just the power button + the 4 colored keys. The red TV button then conveniently acts as a toggle between RF (standard) and IR (programmed) transmission modes doubling front-key functionalities.

Got myself the most complete (nameless) version, which is working as it should and sold at about the same price. Use it myself to control both my AMP and TV via IR for essential functions next to controlling my media player via RF (no need to aim it) . The only slightly deviating description/guide is too big for an attachment.

Warning: did not find a back-lit version (which also exist) which is also programmable for all keys.

Tried new batteries...same problem. Unfortunately bought set from Philippines before I found this site.

I have ordered a new remote from yourselves but still waiting for it arrive, Philippine post is CRAP.

Thanks for your replies.
