It appears that HiMedia has removed the "Screen Timeout" setting/feature and Daydream from the Android firmware.
Now, either HiMedia is building stuff from scratch and thus does not have access to these basic features... or they just kicked it out. The latter would be the most stupid thing anyone could do, so I suppose it is a matter of building from the ground up and thus has not been developed by HiMedia.
But then I wonder, why invent the wheel and why not use the stuff Google provides you?
Not having a screensaver/screen timeout outside of any players is just harmfull to my television set. Having a screensaver only in Kodi or the HiMediaplayer is just not enough. Think about when I am playing music through the Spotify app... while it is playing music, the screen will sit on the same screen for some time.
Don't we have any other options to add this to the system? I tried downloading screensavers but they ofcourse require Daydream and/or screen timeout to be present, which they are not. Special settings apps to change the timeout (Any Screen Timeout) don't work ... because the feature is just not there.
