What method are you using for the transfer?

Samba sever as standard will transfer at ~ 25MB/s. This can be improved to ~ 85MB/s using this patch: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1479.0

If you install an FTP server on Q5/Q10 Pro you can get faster rates than this. From FAQ:

* Install FTP server for faster file transfer?Transfers to Q5/Q10 Pro will be approx twice as fast using FTP instead of built in Samba server. There are many free Android FTP apps in Play Store, 'primitive ftpd' (Android 5.1) and 'Free FTP Server' (Andriod 7) have been tested and works well (Android 5.1 only).

On a windows PC extract the contents of the Samba patch archive and then double click RUN_ME.bat in Windows Explorer (Windows file manager). RUN_ME.bat is an executable file.

I am using the same router. But I am using FTP server on Q10 Pro. Getting around 80 to 110 MB/s between Q10 Pro (HDD) and PC (HDD).

The script will ask you to enter Q5/Q10 Pro IP address. Then select 3 to backup existing config and 1 to apply patch.

Transfer rates for me over SMB (Android 7 + patch):
Download from box -> 80-90MB/s
Upload to box (sdcard): -> 7-11MB/s

Connect your HP to the router via LAN cable (and the HiMedia box) as well to check if the wifi is the problem or nio.
