Problem with the passthrough in tv.
« on: December 30, 2016, 08:57:27 PM »
Hello,

Can someone please help me, because by this player I have a problem with the passthrough in tv. Himedia Q10Pro I have connect directly with amplituner by hdmi. When Q10Pro is turned off during watching tv I can't get sound from the home cinema speakers only is straight from the TV speakers . When a player is turned on then passthrough start working correctly and I have sound from the speakers home cinema. The same happens when I disconnected hdmi Q10 with the amplituner, everything is back to normal. So it seems that the player interferes in the sound and the return channel stops working in tv. I want to emphasize that this happens ONLY when the player is turned off. What should I do? How to fix it?

Thank you for answer.

The Himedia Q10 causes those Problems with HDMI CEC, so your ARC will not work anymore

I had the same Problema and a lot of Users too.

You can buy a HDMI Adapter which blocks the HDMI CEC from Q10.

Lindy HDMI Non CEC Adapter

With this i have all other Devices working with ARC etc

Greetings

Ok. Thank you for answer. I understand that using this adapter I will be have maximum resolution 1080p unless I would cut pin responsible for CEC in hdmi 2.0.

No! Thats wrong! ;)

You can have full 4K with HDR , Audio Bitstream and all Q10 Pro Features with Lindy Adapter!!

You can cut the Pin in a HDMI cable to block CEC OR you can use this Lindy Adapter which does the same .....and both Methods will not restrict to 1080 or something, only HDMI CEC is blocked so your CEC from other Devices will work again
