HiMedia Q10 Pro kills my network?
« on: January 16, 2017, 03:38:24 AM »
I have attached my new Q10 Pro to the home network via wifi. Any time I try to use apps that require network access (eg Kodi, Youtube, Google Store, ...), my router's connection to the ISP becomes very unstable, making the network unusable for all devices.

Any suggestions as to what could be causing this would be most welcome.

It seems the problem was WiFi-related. Changed to Ethernet and all seems ok.
Not being a networking expert, I cannot see how a very weak WiFi connection from the Q10 could cause an unstable connection from the router to my ISP. If someone has any thoughts, I would love to to hear a theory/likely cause. Thanks.

What unstable means?
Does the other devices connecting via ethernet or wifi?
