Q5/Q10 Pro as an emulation centre
« on: December 05, 2016, 07:19:18 PM »
Hello,

I recently bought a Q5 pro which, apart from using it as a 4K HDR Media player, I would like to use  for retro gaming. Has anyone done that? What software/hardware would you recommend? I would like to build a setup which will be fast and user friendly for the whole family.

Thank you in advance!

Emulators:
I mostly use the ones made by a guy named Robert Broglia, they seem to work the best

Peripherals:
I own a Xiaomi Wireless gamepad, but would prefer a Logitech F710.
The sticks are too sensitive for my taste.

Usage:
I use the KODI addon "Rom Collection Browser".
It is old, there hardly is support for it, it takes a while to configre it... but it looks nice and works okay.
Some guy made a few good tutorial vids on YouTube:

Edit
This seems to be the go-to-service instead of RCB now:

If you want to do retro gaming with you original cartridges, i'd recommend the Retron 5:
