Is there any disadvantage for using kodi 17 instead of the official 16.1? I use kodi for playing only with wrapper. Sometimes the tidal client to listening music and download subtitles if the wrapped player doesn't find any appropriate subtitle for me. Instead of these I use kodi as only a jukebox.
I've used KODI 17 Beta 6 extensively and have gone back to 16.1.
There are some minor improvements in some areas, but video playback, especially when it comes to streaming, is awful.
The YouTube addon and other video addons were unusable due to stuttering, there are also bugs and crashes.
It feels like using an early alpha, you can really see that there has hardly been any development done on the Android side of things - which is baffling, since it is the platform mostly used for KODI.
At this point, there is really no reason to switch from Jarvis to Krypton.
