Q5 Hicontrol not working and no remote

Hi
I have a Q5.1005 model player. I have the lost the remote that came with the player.
I have been using the player through Hicontrol app installed in my Samsung phone. I have lost the phone.
Got a new phone and tried installing Hicontrol App that I got from this forum. Its not working
The app is not able to identify any device. Its just constantly searching
Please let me know there is a different app for older version.
Also am I missing something. The phone and Player are in the same wifi network.  New phone is Android 6.01

Kernel Version: 3.0.8_godbox

We never sold it so I don't know what the situation is re HiControl.

The remote will be the same as for current HiMedia products, so you could buy a replacement remote.
