There is no audio sync setting for himediaplayer or Kodi+wrapper (which uses himediaplayer). However, audio should be in sync without changing settings.

If you use Kodi with it's internal player (dvdplayer) then audio can be synced +/- 9 seconds in 0.001 second steps.

A formal manual is very unlikely. A wiki (beyond the FAQ on this forum) is also unlikely. We may develop the FAQ into a subsection of the forum but I have my doubts about how many contributors an open wiki would get.

No problems with how you have your HDDs and network set up. You would define either the network or local HDD as a source in Kodi. Why do you have both local and HDD copies of the same media? It may be that I don't fully understand the intention.
