need advice!
« on: October 15, 2024, 11:33:04 AM »
I bought a HiMedia Q10pro. It worked fine until last week or so. I was hoping someone could give me some advice on what might have happened.

The setup here is that I have the HiMedia box plugged into the network via a switch.

Also on the network is the 'Vault', a computer with 6 hard drives (one is the OS, the other 5 are data).

My own computer is also on the network and I use it to load new content into the Vault.

The TV runs via KODI on the HiMedia box.

Now the box can 'see' the data on the Vault, but when I try to play it, all I see is a little banner at the top of the screen that says 'HiMedia Video Player'. The actual files don't play. I've tried playing all types of files, MKV, avi and mp4.

I have a USB drive plugged into the HiMedia box and the files on it play fine.

I was away for a few weeks and it worked fine when I left. It was untouched while we were away except for turning it off and on again when we got home.

Anyone have any ideas???

Thanks!

solpet

Whis OS are you running?
