I use NFS with no issues.

NFS is, in my experience, slightly more efficient.

Can you monitor network traffic on your NAS web interface?
If you look on the graphic the first block is the original file and we can see it tops at 11.60 MB/s. The second block is the light file, meaning I stripped all the audio tracks except Dolby Atmos. We can see that it didn't top at all. And it is where it tops that I have problems.

It seems so but I don't understand! My NAS is plugged in a 2.5 Gig switch that is plugged in another 2.5 Gig switch via a cable in the wall and my dune HD is plugged in the 2.5 Gig switch. So how can it be?

One of the cables could be cat5.

You need at least cat5e for 1Gbps.

Thanks! You were right! The cable between the 2 switches was a Cat 5. But I had my iMac on that switch too and when my Wi-Fi is activated all the traffic goes by the router. But my iMac is plugged with a Plugable adapter 2.5Gig on a USB C port.

Problem solved!

It is not a Dune HD player problem!

Thanks to all of you who helped me to solve that problem. It was a network problem. Cat 5 cables used at the wrong place. I changed the cables for Cat 6 cables and everything is working fine now.

That's good....unfortunately, after all that you must be punished.

Stand on your head and rotate slowly for 15 minutes while chanting "I Love Dune" in a very low registar.
Sorry, you did this to yourself....
