or stop the auto hide of the black bottom android bar. It makes most apps unusable. How did Himedia not see this? AMYONE?

Bottom question in the FAQ. It will be fixed in next firmware by providing an option in settings to toggle it on/off.

I think Himedia didn't realise it's such a problem because it's not a problem using just remote, not mouse. So some users won't have noticed it at all.

* Stop navigation bar from popping up when mouse cursor at bottom of screen (firmware 3.0.2 only, Q5/Q10/M3) Install this update file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/c4gb03d2p3suc67/update.zip To install copy file to USB stick and go Settings - Upgrade - Local upgrade. It will only remove the navigation bar and make no other changes to your setup.

Thanks for the reply, the audio and video are quite amazing on this unit. I really like it. I bought the last one off Ebay, and it did indeed come with 3.0.1, so I upgraded and that fixed the sub issues problem. As for the issue with the android black bar at the bottom, will this link you sent me fix this? Or are you saying I have to wait for the next firmware update? Thanks   8)

That upgrade fixed the black bar issue. Thanks  The only thing now is that if I open Pandora I am unable to stop the audio without the "home" logo on the black bar killing the task. I have to restart the box after using Pandora in order to get the correct audio codec when I watch a movie. If I don't restart the box, all my movies are forced into 2 channel audio. Unless there is a kill task option I am not seeing. :'(

also installing a custom wallpaper option in Android? It comes up with no options in gallery, just allows me to install a live stock android wallpaper. Any options for this? Thanks

The instructions and link in above post will remove the navigation bar. In future firmware there will be an option to toggle it on/off.

Wallpaper can be set by going Settings - More - Display - Wallpaper.

I know how to get to the menu. My question is there is nothing under gallery, and it does not give you a search option. Only live wallpapers has anything. How can I search my drives from the gallery?

If you install ES File Explorer then you'll have an 'ES File Explorer' option under Settings - More - Display - Wallpapers. Using that you can browse files / drives.

Himedia will almost certainly have added a 'make wallpaper' option to the gallery in next firmware. I have a beta version of the app here.
