How to safely remove the HDD drive from its cradle
« on: December 03, 2017, 08:45:35 AM »
The advice in the forum re removing hardware from the  Q10 works as described, but only if I have an item attached to the USB ports. It does not work with an HDD inserted in the built in HDD cradle. I also have a B900 and that works swiftly by asking you to wait whilst it removes a USB or HDD drive. All I have to do is press the power off button and the auto process kicks in. I only bought the Q10 for 4K playback as the B900 still works fine. The B900 also plays back subtitles whereas the Q10 still doesn't unless I install VLC Player.
Any advice gratefully received. Thank you.

In HiMedia media center app, press remote menu key when the device you want to remove is selected. You'll be asked 'Safely eject device?'.
