Hold down the SET button on the Himedia remote until the red LED stays brightly lit.

Press the key on the Himedia remote that you want to program. The red LED should blink steadily.

Hold the original remote you want to learn from very close (1cm gap is perfect) and point it at the the IR sensor of the Himedia remote.

Press the button on the original remote that you want to learn. The Himedia remote red LED should stay on for a second then briefly blick fast.

Press SET on Himedia remote to exit learning mode.

Test the button you've programmed on the Himedia remote.

Brilliant.

Can you programme all the buttons or just the grey ones?

Just the grey buttons. So TV power on/off, AV select and volume.

So I will try to be brief as these instructions worked for that remote.  Are there any other remotes I can program to control the Himedia box?  My Onkyo remote has about 70 buttons on it and help me control my TV with the stereo and in the input from the computer.  Can the AV/TV button be programmed for more than one source?

Thanks Futeko works like a charm.

Doe the On/off button work if my TV has two separate button, one for on and another for off ?

No but you can program 2 different keys for that On/Off for ON and AV/TV for OFF as an example.
