AVI files faled to play in HiMedia Player
« on: November 08, 2015, 04:55:45 PM »
Is it only me, or someone have similar problem?
If i try to play "normal" .avi files (coded with Xvid, DivX and so on) in HiMedia player,it cannot play them.
I got only a choice to choose any another-just as in Android, say Mxplayer,Kodi...).If i choose to play it-
say in Kodi-they played fine, but i get always error if i play those with HiMedia player.
In description of H( i was reading, it can play .avi files. Do i something wrong?
I would like to play them in HiMedia player for whatever reason...
For any suggestions thanks all in advance!

Thank you for your answer!
But i can see the .avi files in HiMedia Player Browser. If i try to play (open) it, i got the error message.
The same happen if i choose to play .avi file from another file browser (i.e. ES Explorer).
I got the choice, what player i want to use, and if i choose HiMedia player, i got the same error message...
That is the problem with .avi files. As i wrote before, i've tried different coded .avis (Xvid,Divx and so on)-
it still the same error message.

Understand, then it is a different problem.
Because when I start MP4 files from ES Explorer in Himedia Player these files are played.
When I try to start the same MP4 file from HiMedia Browser in HiMedia Player it does not start the play.
To see the files in HiMedia Browser is not the problem, it seems the way how the Browser passes the information to the HiMedia Player is the problem there.
Sorry, I do not have AVIs to test it.

There is a problem with some avi files in Himediaplayer. The solution is to use another player, MX (which is pre-installed) / VLC / Kodi.

Himedia are aware of this problem and it will be fixed in future firmware. It's a RK3368 problem.
