A11 posters - edit ability - default VIDON account login (SOLVED)

The posters function in the egreat A11 is not really user friendly. Most importantly editing wrong identified movies or TV series is time consuming if done with the remote.
Now we can login into the A11 poster program [aka it is a "tuned" VIDON.Me Server]. So entering the A11 per browser on port 32080 we could access server manager pages. From there editing is by far more easy.

On opening the server manager it asks for a VIDON account login. As I suppose it is a VIDON local distribution (which BTW is great and still better as the cloud version for data, confidentiality and security reasons)...

 what is the default login of the server manager used by posters on the A11 ??

For clarity, you can access the Vidon movie server web interface by:

1. Connect your A11/A10/A5 to a network. Note it's IP address in Settings - General - Wifi or Settings - General - Ethernet (depending how you are connected to network).

2. Using a PC/Mac/phone connected to the same network navigate in a web browser to IP::32080. e.g. if IP is 192.168.0.6 you would navigate to 192.168.0.6:32080.

You will now see a web interface for editing your media library and info.

the whole thing was broken again with firmware 1.2.6.6.

The mediaserver now displays a login page and asks for a debug password ......

Egreat say this feature should not have been available in 1.2.5.6 / 1.2.6.0 and will not be available in future firmware.

I am doing all I can to uncover why and to get them to reverse the decision.

That is a very wrong decision. How do they expect users to edit and manage a collection of over 50 movies effectively with the IR remote...or even the AK86 ?? Not to speak of collections of 100's of movies.

Betting on 100% accuracy of their scrapper is either foolish or right outrageous.

That looks to me like a brand-combat. In fact the vidon server running on the egreat is now branded DVDFab. DVDFab uses this server on their own branded DVDFav Media Server....which again is using egreat A5 hardware.
It's a mess and both will loose.
I'm now also afraid that the new dune line will be based on the A13 egreat....

egreat A11 has some flaws but is a very good product in development. Poster Wall needs to make a difference and the editing through webmanager needs to be possible. In my opinion if it doesn't the pricetag will be questionned more and more.

Glad to see you also lobby for it to be restored again.

If only more egreat users would be aware of above mentionned editing ability ...

BTW beta firmware 1.2.6.0 still has the webmanager working. Your posted images show how compelling and easy it is to edit and organise movies wit it.

Egreat say that Poster Wall v3.0, coming soon, will deliver big improvements in editing the media library on A11/A10/A5.

I will continue to push them to add/reinstate remote library editing.

Let me guess...don't tell me it's the vidon server 3.0 which is cloud based (DMS Cloud Manager)? Where editing is done in the cloud ? This means that every user will have their collection replicated in the cloud (posters of course not the AV files). Everyone will need to register an account and login...
DVDfab also had that move for their media server and received a push back from users. Most are really sensitive to what information is stored in a cloud. I for sure do not favor neither to have my collection in the cloud as my movies, genres and what I watch should remain as much as possible my business.
