unable to download zip files from internet

Had a power cut today and lost everything on box. Box rebooted but kodi total loss. No problem had back ups  but unable to get them to download. Starts, and then has a message' failed to download from xyz' at screen bottom which disappears before can read it all. Have some zips on a usb, install, then get fail to reach repository.

Are there any setting which need to be  switched  Not convinced its the device, but was perfect last weekend when setting it all back up, now  perplexed.
