Hello,

I am new Himedia Q10pro user and in forum so I do not know if this topic is answered. I have searched superficially but I do not see it.

I upgraded to the official version 2.0.4. I've done root.

The wrapper does not persistently keep the user/password samba information. It seems to only have it in memory while the application is running, but if the application is closed or the himedia is restarted, the information is lost. It is a hassle to have to enter the user/password information every time you start and every time the system decides to kill the wrapper application, plus it is seen on the screen of the application key (not asterisks).

Is it my problem exclusively? How can i fix it?
         Is it wrapper bug?
Is it wrapper does it work like this for some reason that I do not know?

Greetings.

Are you pressing Save after you input user and password? My Q10 Pro does not have it, it saves it even after reboot.

Are you putting it into standby? There were other users with weird issues when they were not shutting down the TV box and were putting it into standby. Your issue can be caused by unplugging it from the power source and not using proper shutdown.

Hello,

Solved  8)

I will try to explain what I think is going on and how I have solved it for that other people in the same case, have this help, although I think it is not going has happened to many people, usually I happen rare and unique things with artifacts  ;)

I am not an Android expert but I know something, maybe I don't use the appropriate technical terms. This is my hypothesis:

For some strange reason, my Himedia must have some partition of the system as read only, blocked or something like that. In Himedia default I have the Facebook and Skype applications. Even if I uninstall them, Himedia turn off and on again, they reappear like a nasty rash in the a**. The Wrapper application, even if you entered the user/password data, if you checked in Android Application Settings, the  application consumed space in data always told me that 0 bytes.

How have I solved it?

I uninstalled the wrapper application and without restarting, I installed the wrapper application again (downloaded from a forum link). When you do this, the new downloaded apk, installs itself on a different partition than the system and stores the data in a different location. Now if when I configure the wrapper with the user/password samba and I give it to save, the saved correctly (and in Android Aplications Setting it appears to me that it takes up data space).

In any case, it would be nice if the wrapper apk put asterisks in the field key for security purposes.

Excuse me for my unfortunate English  :P

Thanks.

Well, it may have fixed the issue for you, but the Wrapper is installed as an app, it is not a system app, you would have not been able to uninstall it if it had been a system app. The launcher has these hardcoded apps inside an xml file, I see it everytime one of the apps I have put there is updated. Pcristi said we can edit it if we have root and put there the complete Android name of the app we want. There is a post here about that http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=812.msg15846#msg15846
