Search network share

Running latest firmware on A5 but I cant get the search network share option to work,just get the spinning circle logo.Have disabled both router and Win10 firewalls but still no joy.I can access shares when adding my server manually but not by searching.This is happening on Egreat Player and Kodi.Also I couldnt ota update had to go the usb route.
