Q10 Pro Error: possibly bricked?!
« on: May 11, 2017, 12:06:27 PM »
Hello!

I have been asked by a member on my local forum to help him out and ask here regarding his problem with his brand new Q10 Pro:

He had the 2.0.3 fw installed, and every time , like 10 second  after the boot-up, he gets the following error massage on the main screen:  "Google Partner Setup Has Stopped" and the box also stops to react any buttons. Only re-plugging the power adapter helps to reboot, but it will just start over again. Reinstalled the 2.0.3 a couple of times but after he also got hangs and freezes during the Himedia boot screen.

He also fails to return to Android 5.1, with the proper method and downgrade fw described here. He always stucks at the Android screen while downgrading (the progress bar freezes at some point).

Futeko, what would you suggest?!

Hi
I do not know if using the adb command could reset  the q10pro (make something like "wipe data/factory reset") and solve the problem?
Regards

So don't know I. That's why I'm waiting for a more confident suggestion, but thanks!

I recommend installing 2.0.1 and taking it from there.

Either stick with 2.0.1 or downgrade from 2.0.1 to Android 5.1 with downgrade firmware.

This is exactly what I got last week and could not access the box  :-\. I had to reinstall 2.0.1 which now works.

He finally managed to reinstall the 2.0.3 fw, but somehow neither the Android 5 downgrade nor the returning to 2.0.1 fw works for him.

He said the the 2.0.3 looks fine by now, but it's more than strange how he cannot install any other versions... :???

Ditto here.
Exactly the same simptoms yesterday, on Q10 Pro on 2.0.3. Managed to reflash with 2.0.3 and redo all settings again, but this is a VERY strage phenomenon. Initially several other apps crashed until finally the dredded message from google partner setup and total freeze.
Maybe it's a more sytem error since it happened to several people at the same time like this, out of the blue. Cheers.

So why is it that PCristi, a member of this forum, can regularly solve these software bugs but those paid programmers at HiMedia can't   :-\???
