KODI Set as default player HiMediaVideoPlayer
« on: December 19, 2016, 06:36:15 AM »
Given that mainly will use Kodi, which I have some familiarity since I use it on the pc, the latter has no problem in recognizing the shared folders on the network, the only difficulty and with some files as Quelii Bit Rate Test jellyfish File and other films crashes the Wrapper that diverts the all'HimediaVideoPlayer which to me is an outstanding player.
So I wonder if with some patches or other it is possible to set as the default player in Kodi directly the HimediaVideoPlayer and not the Wrapper that crashes.
The firmware is updated to the latest version HMD-2.0.0 2016-11-17.181855.

Sincerely thank you

No, not possible. The wrapper is necessary to make Kodi and himediaplayer play nicely together.

I've answered your message/email elsewhere about the wrapper crashing. Possibly a problem with password protected shares resolvable by going to wrapper app and entering Samba details.

If you have a shared folder with a space in the name, the wrapper crashes, the kodi player doesn't have this problem. I renamed the shares and now everything works fine.
