It's a puzzle to me why if you have the encoding / character set option set correctly you are not getting subtitles correctly displayed.

Where are you playing the files from? I guess if it's a network share then the share could be setup with charset options that are incorrectly transmitting the special characters in the srt file. You could test this by playing the same file from a USB drive formatted as FAT32.

I don't think it's a problem with Q10 setup, but to be sure you always have the option of a firmware reinstall. So resetting everything to factory state. There will be a new firmware next week so I advise waiting, but current 1.0.3 firmwares are linked to from here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=711.0

I think there's a problem with the subtitle file, probably not the file itself but how it's being delivered to the Q10 Pro.

Do you get the same problem with the srt / video played from a FAT32 formatted USB stick?

I have been through all the things I can think of.

The srt file you supplied displays as expected for me, and also for other users on this thread who've tested it.

My conclusion is that Q5/Q10 Pro can display Swedish srt subtitle without problems.

Ultimately, if you can't figure out why the file won't display on your Q10 Pro then you may be able to return for refund. Email us mail@futeko.com.

The new firmware works better...

But it is still something wrong.  I randomly have to choose between Auto and Nordic subtiitles encode. For the same video.
