HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / Re: HDR aspect ratio problem.

I don't think so.
I've tried the same movie (same mkv)  using the player of my LG Oled tv and the aspect ratio is correct with the usual black stripes sizes.

Oh yes, you are right. I had completely forgotten that. My decision is an another box. Either the Zappiti DUO 4K or the new Dune HD Duo 4K. Or maybe a HTPC. Anyway, this box is a big disaster and will sell it.

News, this Firm destroyed but still my HDD. Explanation will follow later. With another ext. HDD is all okay. Thanks HiMedia THX HiMedia  >:(

Attention guys, this firm destroyed all my films at the usb-2.0-port on the left side. Every film stutter now  :-[ I'm now back to the firm 1.0.9. I have a backup from my fim-files and they play all fine now again. This box is very dangerous.

I wrote this.  I think two big black stripes are normal. Because the aspect ratio is only 3840x1600 (for example, Lucy, but in original UHD it is 2160). Maybe try a film with more vertikal resolution.

I saw that someone else may or may not have similar issue with this particular firmware (not sure if there was confusion of Q5 vs. Q10 Pro).  When I installed Q10 Pro firmware downloaded from HiMedia web site, and installed, I lost a USB 2.0 port.  When looking at the 3 USB ports on the left ( 1 x USB 3.0 and 2 x 2.0) the middle USB 2.0 would provide power to a drive but was not available nor could be read.  The USB 3.0 and 1 x USB 2.0 were available.  Downgrading back to 1.0.9 restored functionality.  Thoughts?

That's a known bug with 1.1.0, and has been reported to HiMedia.

The same here. What a terrible box. Bugs, bugs and bugs again....  :(  I'll downgrade now back to the 1.0.9.

I have tested an Zappiti one HDR. No aspect ratio problems there. Its a very nice and fast Android box.

I'll wait still until the end of april for fix the bug.  Than I'll probably buy the Zappiti Duo 4K.

Let as to know witch model player fit your needs if go to change it.

I hope it sooo much. Otherwise, I will buy another player and sell the Q10. Because, because this is completely unacceptable.

Same Problem here. When will the bug fixed? Would Android 7 help with the bug? I have Android 5.1 installed.

The date is wrong. 2016-07-07 was the firmware 1.05?  Why this date for 1.06, too?

11
My experiences with the firmware 1.05:
Stutter is still the same.  :( Only in 3D it is okay.
After shutdown, the box does not retain the resolution settings. If I set to 2160p 60Hz and I shut down it and then after turn on, I always get 1080i 60Hz  :(
Autoswitch still does not work  :(

12
Works as it should.
But there is a thing that would be nice to see in "final" version. Is there a way to temporary disable it? There are occasions, like going through many recordings, which causes many unwanted black screens (it takes 1-2 second on TV to make a switch) when frame rate goes back to Android one and back to video,...
How do I uninstall the patch?

To temporarily disable it first install the latest version (see OP, we have gone up two version numbers since I posted the thread this morning!) then edit the file '/sdcard/autoFMTswitchFlag' on Q5/Q10 Pro. Use ES FIle Explorer on similar, it has a built in text editor. Change the text inside the file to ON or OFF.

I have done this. Because I will wait until new Firmware or a new vision

13
No, I must reboot by myself. Where do I find now the patch? Have you a path for me? Can I uninstall the patch, too?

Sorry, for many questions and sorry for my english, but I'm a newbie from Germany.  ::)

But I have found now bucking, jerk again (1080P 60Hz). With  set in the settings of the box 2160p 60Hz apparently it works.

14
Now I've done it. Is this okay?

Now is to late. Now I have an account  ;D Another question,...what mus I do with the *.bat? What means "Execeute RUN_ME.bat at command prompt"? Please, can you explain that to me in more detail?

It's okay. It's done. At first I would open it as Admin. But now it works.
