QuoteHimedia will continue to support Q5/Q10 4K3D as evidenced by the new firmware last week.
Link.
I will pass the request to Himedia.
Been requested already. Futeko, any word on that list of wish-list items we sent?
I'll ask again later this week when Himedia are back to normal after CES. Half the sales/support staff have been (and still are) at Las Vegas CES. Difficult getting info at the moment.
I don't expect 3D frame packed MKV support to be added though. I expect it to stay as ISO only.
Need help on step by step guide how to format a 4TB Seagate HDD via Windows7 for use as internal storage on the Q10.
1) GPT disk or MBR disk
a) MBR only recognizes 2TB but is detected by the Q10
b) GPT can maximize 4TB but is not detected by Q10
Thank you in advance.
I would like to see a better integration with Kodi.
The wrapper solution has one big advantage, it works for all features.
Boxes based on other chipsets do not have working 3D or 7.1 audio within Kodi for instance.
The ideal situation would obviously be perfect playback with all chipset features available from within native Kodi. However, there are no products that do this outside of much more expensive HTPCs. Himedia are aware of what people want and will do the best they can to implement it.
You are right and after testing some others, the best is the Himedia player. To be continu to update to have more and more options and right also to say that the wrapper give the Himedia the opportunity to have HD Audio DTS-Master and DTS-HD sounds with 3D playing as well, So not so many Boxes have this way, So happy for all users from this Himedia Boxes![]()
