Hello everyone, new member and owner of a HiMedia q10 Pro.
Currently I have the OFW 2.1.4 installed (HMD-2.1.4 2019-05-31.171152).
I would like to upgrade to OFW 2.1.7
If I understand correctly I have to install OFW 2.1.6 then OFW 2.1.7.
Then can I install the CFW 2.1.7?

Hi, I noticed that with Super Child Lock, my kids have figured out a way to bypass the lock completely by pressing the home button on the remote several times. Is there anything you can do to fix this bypass method by chance?

Hi, having issue with Netflix - grey bar at the bootom of the screen when playing movie.
I found that the same issue for Nexbox A95x was solved by adding the line: qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 in the file the file Build.prop.
Would it be possible tu update Netflix app, so no grey bar is visible? Thanks.

CFW don't need that patch, patch are not compatible with CFW.

CFW don't need that patch, patch are not compatible with CFW.

Hi Pcristi, when you say "CFW don't need that patch" - it means that CFW runs netflix in 4k? what about amazon and disney? Also, what's the best way to connect the Q10 Pro to a atmos receiver? optical cable? coaxial cable?

I wanna use official and try it out.

And where can I find a clen official 2.1.7 EU version download android 7

Or is it possible to just use the update solution from inside the OS

I have just upgraded to this new custom firmware using paperclip method no problems upgrading. Unfortunately I find it a retrograde update to the previous custom firmware I was using don't like the settings and lack of imperex menu access, the picture I found inferior although the remote was quite snappy in use. I think I will go back to the earlier firmware just hope that's possible. I wish I could run corelec  from the Q10 my Odroid N2 with corelec gives a much better picture and changes frame rate and resolution without any issues, much better than the Q10.
