Hi, I have a Q10 Pro and I have a problem to update to 2.05 custom firmware.
Currently I have installed this " update_Q10Pro_(update&themed&Kodi17.4[RC1-20170629])_HMD-2.0.4 2017-07-05.174159 "
When i put the usb drive , the Q10 will show an Android logo for 5 seconds and then  restarts without updating.
I also tried updating with the official firmware but nothing.
Kodi and other apps now no longer work
How can I restore the q10?

Thanks

And now what I have to do?
Use "Q10 PRO FIRMWARE. ANDROID 7 v2.0.4 TO ANDROID 7 v2.0.5. FUTEKO. HMD-2.0.5 2017-09-13.185132" or your custom 2.0.5 firmware?
Try with sd card?
Thanks

copy the file to an usb flash drive.
rename it to Update.zip
 turn the himedia player off
insert the flashdrive
on the back of the player is the reset hole - take a paperclip or similar and press the button in - with in pressed in start/power the player up.
release the button when you see the android circle

let the update run it's course

Hi,

I am a newbie to Android. I have upgraded my Q5 Pro to 2.05 Official firmware. I would like to apply the custom firmware 2.05 to obtain 7.1 HD passthrough within Kodi. I have a couple of concerns though.

1. Which backup app/program should I use to backup the existing firmware and configuration?

2. After applying the custom firmware, if I run into any issues can I go back to the previous official version? How?

Detailed help would be greatly appreciated.

I can only answer you what you could have already find by yourself in the relevant sticky Threads of this Forum.

1. There's still NO HD audio passthrough with even in CFW 2.0.5 with KODI internal player. Only DD and DTS passthrough is working.  HD audio still works only with Wrapper (HiPlayer).

2. App like Titanium Backup, but I guess it will require root. Maybe there are some other apps which would not. Don't know if these would work with the HiMedia specific settings anyway...

3. Simply update the official 2.0.5 as usual (paperclip method).

No problem you can do this downgrade from CFW 2.0.5 to official 2.0.4.
But ideally you should do this with paper clip method (full erase).

Native Himedia player (MediaCenter) crashes when playing multiple FLAC audio files from the internal disc (over 1h). Then I can only close the application and restart it. Annoying problem in Custom Firmware 2.05. The disk is brand new. Type 3.5 inch, WD Red (for NAS) 3TB. The tests on the PC passed correctly. I thought it was a screen saver, but with the screen saver off, MediaCenter hangs too.
