Quick question.  Kodi 17.5 is coming. Should  I  update from 17.4 on the custom firmware or stay with 17.4? Worried about losing 5.1 surround sound. Love that I don't have to use a shitty build with your custom firmware.

At this point in time the only way to get 7.1 audio in kodi 17.4 is by using the wrapper.
To get 5.1 audio u can use kodi 16.1 or a shitty build. Since u say that you don't want to use a shitty build I'd recommend installation of Pcristi custom firmware. Allows 5.1 in any kodi build.

Thanks Futeko. It's great to see there's progress happening. I'm currently running custom 2.0.1  with jarvis. Not ideal but  its a pretty good compromise for my needs at the moment.  I haven't tried the shitty krypton build. Is it stable? Debating as to whether or not I should update to 2.0.3 when it is available or just wait till May.

Hi. I bought my q10 pro back in May last year.  This.forum has been an invaluable source of information and help since then. From sorting out audio pass through issues to discovering why my arc got completely screwed up after hooking up my q10, all my answers have been right here. Thank you to everyone who has contributed.
And word on when the next firmware update is coming and will it have the kodi 17 audio issues resolved?
Currently running nougat  with kodi 16.1 with custom 2.0.1. .would love to be able to get 7.1 with kodi up and running.
