Greetings guys I am sending a picture of THE SONY  DVD Player (part of Home theater) which connects all to the sound system for your reference.

Greetings guys.. Recently I did it using both USB 2.0 and USB3. 0  A and B as you SUGGESTED but the results are the same. I found a removable disc which was labeled D but it did not show the capacity. I checked disc management, yes there was a removable disc below the laptop C drive. When I right clicked it it only shows to change the drive name, properties and help but  no initialize disc. Does this means the HDD was not seen but only the connection to Q10 which was seen as D removable disc. Whenever I opened the q10 box, checked the SAta connection was slid a snug fit to the new HDD, closed the box again, press the red start button in the q10 to indicate it was switched on an it briefly displayed all the white lights and heat the laptop short beep indicating a connection, but did not change the status in the disc management. It still shows the same. What could be the reason., is the HDD defective I r there is a loose connection between the HDD and the SATA of the Q10. Is there an alternative way to check the fault.? I don't have a desktop PC  to check the HDD Integrity. Would a USB to an ESata would do the job.?

Hello guys.... Does anybody here have an experience in using old Sony 5 speaker home theater system(with DVD player as the sound system for the Q10 pro..? It has only 1 HDMI port  but have the  3 slot RCA  port connection.? How do you manage to do it..?

Are you serious...? In what slot will you attach the other end..? If there is no printer attachment in the q10 pro..? There are lots of video about q10 pro in YouTube and there was never any mention of printer cables for such Media player

Disconnect from the 2.4GHz SSID and connect to the 5GHz in the Settings menu. You may need to set a different SSID in your router first to the 5GHz band to distinguish.

BTW, sometimes even 5GHz Wi-Fi speed and stability is a very unpredictable thing in general, depending from many affecting circumstances, specially for high-bitrate UHD streaming.  Hope it will work for you, but if you have problems with it, than the cable is the sure way to go.
I appreciate your reply....but as don't have the cable and relyingonly on wifi connections  there is no way to check if  it will be better...

Hello Guys... I just bought an brand new 3 TB seagate HDD  for my Q10 pro , I installed it according to this: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=265888&page=44 .but failed to get the new drive noticed even in my PC as an external drive..
I went to desk management and checked it and it was unseen also... Could somebody point out what I am missing...?I checked the connections, everything is in order,  )?
I have a USBA to USB A cord to connect the USB slot of my PC to the Q10 pro  on the Middle USB slot which I hear an on and off sound  of erratic connection but I did not see any new drive in my PC.( laptop) .. BTW my laptop USB is USB 3.0 but I am using a USB2.0 connection cord to the Q10 pro,..

Is there an alternative way to get this done ?  I am at a loss as I don't have a desktop PC to check the HDD but only a laptop...No matter what I do I cant find the new drive among the displayed drive in my PC using the Q10 pro box...

Hello guys.. I have question regarding internet speed as measured by the meteor app in the Hi media q10 pro. The measured speed is not more than half of my actual internet speed which I measured also with the same app in the android smart phone.I am thinking this is the lower band.. But this device is supposedly dual band. How can I activate the higher 5ghz band in the q10 pro.. So that it will not  buffer anymore If  I stream UHD VIDEOS?

When you try to uninstall the PlayStore app it will ask if you want to replace with the original version. This is perfectly OK, just select yes. This will return the PlayStore app ONLY to factory version. Then reboot. Then leave your unit for a short before clicking the PlayStore app, if it hasn't already done so, it will begin downloading and installing the latest version. Once completed, it should work normally.

I followed your suggestion and it worked perfectly.. Now I can use the play store to update my apps. Thank You!

I appreciate your reply, but not thoroughly understood why if the firmware is not affected by factory reset of play store, then why there is a need for firmware update.? .. BTW as I am A newbie user of smart TV box, am not familiar with the exact details. Sorry...
Further.. I am currently in Asia and I read that those links are for the European version of the the Himedia Q10 pro only. So from my vantage point what will work specific to my region..?

Greetings guys.. Recently, I got a Q10 pro. During the initial use, I noticed that the Play Store just won't open. When I clicked it it just opened a blank screen them quickly closed by itself. I tried remove it but it says it will return to factory settings and will remove installed apps already in the unit. My question if I go for factory reset of the Play Store will it not affec? t the OS..hence creating more errors or problem for the unit.? Will it only affect the installed apps and not revert to the lollipop or Android 5 IS. When I opened the unit I noticed that the OS is  version 7.0 or Nougat. I hope someone can provide me a clarification or solution to this malfunctioning Play Store.
BTW. I had already signed in in the Google account in that Q10 pro so I can access email and make other apps work. I can't download or update other apps unless the Play store works properly. I have tried to delete the cache hoping it will work but there is no such thing in that particular Playstore in Q10 Pro.
