Re: Menu in file manager not workin on custom firmware

Hello back
In default file manager on custom android 5 1.1.0 firmware, the "menu" remote button does nothing  :-\
The file editing list doesn't show up ...
What to do ???

Install a later firmware. What is the reason for running an Android 5.1 firmware that is 2 years old?

Point your phone camera to the remote emitter and press the button. Do you see it flashing?

Some phones have an IR filter so that this test couldn't work.
Try with a working remote first.  :-)

I've installed the latest custom firmware (2.1.1) and copying files over Samba is horribly slow (between 5 and 10 MB/s).
Is there any way to accelerate this?

EDIT: HDD was almost full! Deleted some files and now I'm back to ~40-50 MB/s.

Are you guys using a clean install? What have you installed CFW over original firmware? I had issues in the past, but starting with a certain version (2.0.6 I think) Samba transfer speed started to be normal again and the Samba optimization was not needed anymore. Test with a laptop connected to the same wired network. Transfer speed (wireless or wired) can be influenced by a lot of factors, a bad cable, a weak switch, even an over-worked router. I remember there was another user with slow transfer speeds and his issue was caused by his network or his cabling. Try backing up apps and installing CFW 2.1.1 from scratch. There should not be a speed limitation on original firmware or CFW as far as I know.

Updated Kodi to 18.1  in the Custom firmware and  very pleased with the results particularly HDR. I always thought before this update that the inbuilt Media Player was better than Kodi but with the update to 18.1 I now think Kodi is just a tad better. Excellent thanks again for the custom firmware.

I just had to reinstall using  update_Q10Pro_(update&themed&Kodi18.1[016])[v1.0]-HMD-2.1.1 2018-12-24.145100

I was already on a previous version of CFW 2.1.1 before, Now I have no SMB speed either, On WIFI best I can get is 1.2 to 2.3 MB/s

Takes 10 min or more to transfer a 1.4 gig file from my Synology NAS, Something is def not right.

Check yours networking.
Firmware doesn't change anything that Kodi 18.1 version(1801016) from Kodi 18.0 RC4.
Anyway Kodi 18.1 version(1801016) is already outdated by version 1801018 on Google play.

I have checked my entire network as well as tested transfer rates on all my other devices and can find no issues, I guess I will install the FW once again, Just found a new issue I am having too, When you first turn the box on after being off for some time there is no HDMI signal until you power off then back on again, Had it happen several times now, Maybe these dam things just botch FW installs occasionally

Q10?? HMD-2.1.2 2019-03-25.134305 adapted for Q10 Pro international models.
Many thanks to @haovh_85 for help with download from baidu.

Change log vs OFW  Q10?? :
- adapted for Q10 Pro international models
- add Google play from OFW HMD-2.1.1
- add apps to be closer of HMD official Q10 Pro firmware's
- add init.d support
- remove almost all of Chinese staff

Know problems:
- Google Play services may need manually updated
- Music player is more Chinese then English and optimize for they needs
- As OFW BD-Menu patch not included download from here.

Download: mediafire
Post feedback on this topic as is not official release of HiMedia for Q10 Pro international models.

Yearly mediafire subscription need to be paid, maybe you like to share some
