You need to install an older (base) version first. Try official 2.04 and if it works properly go from there.

Hi,
I cannot find developer options.
I tapped seven times “Build number” and a message appear saying “No need you are already a developer.”
I looked everywhere in the Settings, but cannot find the developer options settings.
Please help me, cause this unit is already driving me crazy !

Thanks a lot.

Model-Q10Pro
Android 7
Kernel-3.18.24
Build-HMD-2.1.7 2020-12-03.153450

Use the search function to find the developer options.

Thanks for your response atkinsom,

I really don't understand what's going wrong.

I found a stick of 4GB.
I formatted it with FAT32.

Then put the following file on the stick:
update_Q10Pro(CFW-Lite[MStyle])[1.1]-HMD-2.1.7 2020-12-03.153450
I gave the file a new name:
update.zip

first disconnected the power (plug from the back).
I put the USB stick in the USB blue port.
Hold the button down with a pepper clip, plug it in and then count to 15 sec with the pepper clip holding the button. button released after 15 sec when a circle was already on TV.

End of story, the Q10 cleared all my extra apps from the device and I still see the old screen and data as I described in my previous post above.

Could someone tell me where this is going wrong?
Am I not doing the actions right?
Can I do an update with this file:
update_Q10Pro(CFW-Lite[MStyle])[1.1]-HMD-2.1.7 2020-12-03.153450

I myself live in the Netherlands, Rotterdam.
Is there someone nearby who can help me?

Install firmware version 2.1.4 first and then 2.1.7.

Kodi was upgraded by the Google playstore. Disable automatic updates in the Playstore and uninstall Kodi 19.1.
To make a factory reset reinstall the software with the upgrade button method.

Despite the abandonment presented in the Thread, i will try with another question:

This FW + the software patch comes with a surprisingly working official Android TV YouTube app installed, but it's now a bit outdated version. I'm asking if anyone tried to install this newest version and found still working on the Box? I don't want to replace and thus loose the surely working version with over installing this newer, if it doesn't work well on the Box.

Yes, you can install it but the ads in the official version drive me crazy. The app I use currently is SmartTubeNext
https://github.com/yuliskov/SmartTubeNext

So you have this latest version installed and it still works on the Box? I was suspecting that the version that comes with the OFW software package is may be modified to run well on these Boxes. (I also have Smart YT TV Next installed, but somehow I found this original YT ATV app a bit smoother to handle. It's hard to describe, but it just feels a bit faster and more "real".)

The latest oficial version works fine but I wouldn't be surprised if an older version runs faster

So today I've made some current measurements in my Q10 Pro:
At power on when the mechanical hard drive starts spinning it reaches about 2A
During boot: 1A
With no app running: 0.6A
With the hard drive working (downloading torrents): 0.7A
With the hard drive working and playing a video file: 0.8A
With also an external unpowered 2.5 USB hard drive connected:1A

My hard drive is a 3.5" Toshiba DT01ACA050, the current consumption will vary with other hard drives.

I believe that most issues with the power supplys are caused by aging components (capacitors) and not the rating.

If the front panel buttons light up when it happens most probably the box is detecting a button press. Clean the front panel and if that doesn't help disconnect the buttons, if you're comfortable with it.

12
Probably something wrong with the front panel buttons. Did you had an accident that involved liquid?

13
I have the latest CFW 2.1.7 and Chrome version 89.0.4389.90, scroll is working with my Logitech K400 keyboard both mouse and arrow keys.

14
Did you upgrade the firmware? Maybe Chrome updated to a newer version.
What's the firmware and Chrome versions you have?

Thanks Stl,

I have just installing the new firmware 2.1.7 you have give me, it's all good.
Just one thing, on my app list, i can't find the important app Google Play Store to actualize the other apps.
Do you know how to install it on the 2.1.7 version?

Install the software package, the links are in the same post as the firmware.
