Hi,
since i have Q5 Pro, i don't like very much this player. There are always issues, freeze, play format error etc. etc.
Upgrading firmware doesn't solve... rather it going to worst... Now i 've 2.1.1 Official but i'm not so glad. Also Custom Firmware doesn't convince me.

Now:
- Which version do you think is a rock firmware (the best of all) to install on it about solidty & realibility? ???

Thanks all!

Yes...but.
I notice new fw introduce other issue and heavy on using.
I mean, new fw doesn't means better performance, but worst perf.
Every time i upgrade new fw, i have to do a lot of things to restore my apps & settings. As result, i generally discover new issue or haviest things in the new fw.
When there will be a stable fw without issue?

Now i have 2.1.1....
Totally disagree with this product...

Thanks looun, you are speedy gonzales!

I'm sorry, my english is poor.

Do You mean it's possible or not?
I mean, i know chromecast is Netflix certificated to stream FHD (with Standard Chromecast) and UHD (with ULTRA Chromecast).

So, can i use a standard chromecast, and send movie from Q5 to chromecast to view it in FHD?

Thx

Hi all,
i'm looking for use netflix 1080p via Himedia Q5 Pro.
I don't understand if using Chromecast, i can view movies in FHD.

I'm thinking this configuration:
- Q5 with Netflix App. Run this app and then choose Chromecast as streaming. This can bypass Q5 limit (Widevine L3)  to view Netflix movies in 1080p?

Thanks all.

I also noticed this issue (i come to 2.0.4 from 2.0.3 and never seen this).
Also now i have (sometimes) movie stops after 50-60 mins, without reasons. (it happened twice in 3 days). Never before with same files.

Well, i think these upgrades introduce only estetical improvements, but not big base improvements as we need. (i own Q5 Pro since 1 year, starting with fw 1.0.5).

I'm on 2.0.1 because this problem was exist in the 2.0.3 as well.

Dear daruma, you're right!
Yesterday i rollback to 2.0.3 and flickering with Imprex On is there!  >:(
I'm bore about changing firmware and notice no upgrade!

- The imprex engine is unfortunately no longer usable, as it comes to frequent flickering. This bright flicker also occurs when the dynamic contrast is disabled. This is really a pity, as with the activated imprex engine the contrast is significantly improved in bright areas.

Hello,
Use FW 2.0.1 or repack CFW 2.0.3 witch have 34ms drop frame fixed, upcoming HiMedia will have fixed this too.
HiMedia 24Hz must be ON for free drop frame play with name it FW.

Great pcristi!
it (your Custom Fw 2.0.3) works very well!
Thank you so much!

Hi,

i'm quite sure to have this problem (microstutter on 23.976 fps movies) since i installed android 7 and fw 2.0.0.
With previous Android 5 Fw doesn't have it.

Now, with latest FW 2.0.3, issue remain and i tried:
- 24 Hz On => nothing
- 24 Hz Off => nothing
- with autoframerate switch 1.1.0 for HimediaPlayer (pcristi)  => with 24Hz OFF  => nothing
- with autoframerate switch 1.1.0 for HimediaPlayer (pcristi)  => with 24Hz ON => nothing

I don't know how i can solve. Perhaps downgrading to Android 5 and Fw 1.1.0?

Any ideas?
Thanks
Paolo
