It's flashing between red and white, or just flashing white?
Is this with a SD card inserted loaded with firmware, or is this during a normal boot, no card?
What was the last change you made prior to this? It sounds as you flashed the box previously and it failed.

I flash latest firmware successful. use it for  many days then this happen.
Box keep booting. I leave it booting. while booting power button will turn red and reboot again. System try to boot until up.
System manage to up but when I use it system reboot again.

How have you used this since you loaded that F/W? Any radical amount of changes to the settings done?
Do you have another PS you could try, it also may be a issue with that. It uses a common type of supply and the coaxial plug is also fairly common.

try this.

  • remove power cable and wait 30 seconds
  • use a paper clip or pen to press and hold the the pinhole UPGRADE button on the back of Q10 Pro (next to the power port).
  • While keeping the UPGRADE button insert power cable

When I flashed my Q10, I noticed durning the initial "read" segment, the power indicator did alternate between white and red (which I didn't realize till now). Does the OP have a SD or USB drive inserted in either slot?

I guess the question should be, other than the 'read' operation during a flash, is there any other purpose for the alternating red-white of the power indicator?

Hi,

I use another PSU and it works.

Thank you very much.

Ok, details if you don't mind;
1. The PS you were using, was that, the one that came with the unit?
2. Is it a switching supply or a old school 'brick' (heavy)?
3. What are the specs on that and the replacement supply (output voltage and amperage)?
4. How long have you had this Q10?
5. Last question; did you have a HDD installed all the time or was that added recently?

Looks like a flashing red/white power indicator means low voltage and the 'read' operation during a 'flash' procedure. (An addition to the FAQ?  ;) )

Yes, this is a sure sign of power supply failure.
My own Q10Pro did this last week (after a hot day and long use) and re-flashing the firmware did not help.

Replacement of the original PS (after 30 months of daily use) with a 2.5Amp unit did the trick  :)

Hi,

1) Old PS came with the unit
2)  this question I did not understand  :)
3) Old PS ( input 100-240V AC 50/60Hz 0.5A   output: 12V 2A) new PS ( input 100-240V 50/60Hz 0.7A   output: 12V 2A)
4) about 2++ years
5) HDD have been in about 1++ years

If it was one that came with the unit, it should of been switching. In the US here, most new PS's are switching (transformer-less). What country are you in?
The 'old school' supplies are relativity heavy compared to modern ones.

The reason for the HDD question was, the problem might of been from adding the drive (more current) that taxed the old supply.

I'm from Malaysia. What the best PS power should be use with Q10?

Whilst I am in Australia and picked up a replacement 2.5A PS locally at an electronics store, I temporarily used a PS from a standard Seagate external hard drive to prove to myself the Power Supply was the reason for failure and the constant the boot loop.
These are only a low 1.5A Output but really worked fine to re-install firmware and ensure Kodi was working (even with my internal 4Tb HGST 7200rpm drive still inside).  If you have one lying around, it is a good temporary back-up option.

Some good discussion about replacement (and higher amperage) PSUs here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=3280.0

In general you can use any 12V 1.5A+ PSU. Tip size is 5.5 x 2.1 with center pin positive.
