Defining a player for a certain filetype
« on: November 09, 2019, 12:38:00 PM »
I have used kodi's internal player for MOV files with playercorefactory.xml file when I was using HiMedia q10. Is there a way to achieve such a task with ZDMC on Z10?

Thanks in advance.

Edit:

Found the way; it is pretty easy actually. You just need to add file extension into playercorefactory.xml's corresponding filetype entry. Now this is the hard and RISKY part, proceed with your own risk. The file is located in /data/data/com.zidoo.zdmc/cache/apk/assets/system/playercorefactory.xml. I have used and still using FX explorer to do such things. But there is another problem with FX explorer. I will discuss on another thread.

Edit 2:

I have found the thread defines my problem with FX explorer which was can't access the storage with R/W permissions. Turns out the official firmware lacks the DocumentsUI which is necessary to give R/W permissions to file managers. And here is the apk which solves the problem:
