Q10 Pro Box Not Switching Off
« on: April 18, 2017, 12:07:40 PM »
As title, my Q10 Pro box doesn't switch off, via the power button, or the power icon in the main menu.

The screen goes blank, the LCD counter stops...then nothing happens.

This is happening every time, I use the box for anything. The only way I can turn the box off is by taking the power lead out and re inserting it - not ideal as eventually it will become loose over time.

This happens with the latest official and custom Android 7 release. I've done a factory reset and re-installed the software a few times, but no joy.

Does anyone else have this problem with their Q10 Pro?

Any solutions?

Buggy Android 2.0.3 FW you can ignored is only power led not change to red(for me) or downgrade to Repack CFW HDM 2.0.1 / official HMD 2.0.1.

The box is off, it's just the power LED doesn't change from white to red.

Ok. Thanks for that.

What about the white LED time display/counter on the front of the box? Rather than going off/blank, it just freezes with the numbers stuck at the current reading at the time.

In spite of this, is the box still off?

Can you post/send a photo? It shouldn't be doing that.

For reference, my Q10 Pro is turning itself off with Rii remote since 2.0.3 update.
And that was one of the most annoying bugs in both Android 7 prior releases. But now it's all good. I don't have to know where the default remote is anymore!

Here's a pic of the box when it's turned off and frozen. The only solution - take out the power lead.

And it does that consistently? Every time?

As noted above, there is a problem with power LED not turning off on 2.0.3, this could be related.

Yes. Unfortunately it does this all the time.

I'm running 2.01 firmware at the moment. should I upgrade to 2.03 anyway?

It might at least solve the freezing problem

I think you might be talking about a different problem with the Rii remote? If so then this is fixed in 2.0.3.

What exactly is the 'freezing problem'?

Right. The freezing problem occurs when trying to switch the box off - with the power button, or through the power options button on the main page.

If I press the power button again, to try and switch it back on, nothing happens. :( :(

The airmouse power on/off switching to standby and not power off problem has been fixed in 2.0.3.

Other freezing shouldn't happen and is most likely related to installed apps. I suggest a fresh install of latest firmware.

I updated to firmware 2.03 and the issue looks to have been resolved - box now switching off with remote and power menu.

I'll let you know if the problem reoccurs

Thanks for your help.
