What is Magisk?

Using Magisk, a user can easily root an Android phone in a very quick and efficient manner.


How to install Magisk - Root Zidoo Media players(RTD1619DR)

Zidoo Media players(RTD 1619DR) with Magisk ROOT

folksy AK-CS Q5&Q10 Pro/Q30 HMD 2.1.4

Request(must have/do):
- backup, backup, backup.
- patience, patience, patience.
- player connect to internet.
- install with paper clip.

Installation Instructions:

FIRMWARE INSTALL CAN TAKE UP TO 10 MINUTES.
DO NOT POWER OFF DURING INSTALL.
WAIT FOR THE HOME SCREEN TO APPEAR.
PLAYER CAN REBOOT FEW TIMES.

1. Download corresponding firmware.
2. Download kodi_for_restored_(...).zip.
3. Rename firmware to update.zip (e.g. update_Q10_folksy_AK-CS_(...)-HMD-2.1.4[1.0](...).zip to update.zip).
4. Copy update.zip to the root of a USB pen drive.
5. Rename our kodi backup to  kodi_for_restored.zip (e.g. kodi_for_restored_(...).zip to kodi_for_restored.zip).
6. Copy kodi_for_restored.zip to the root of a USB pen drive.
7. Insert the USB pen drive into any USB port of the Q5&Q10Pro/Q30.
8. Check on box to have on USB drive update.zip and kodi_for_restored.zip files.
9. With the Q5&Q10Pro/Q30 turned off, use a paper clip to press and hold the the pinhole restore button of Q5&Q10Pro/Q30.
10. While keeping the RESTORE/UPGRADE button pressed, turn on the Q5&Q10Pro/Q30.
11. The Q5&Q10Pro/Q30 will show an Recovery Rainbow Rings logo and proceed to upgrade the firmware.
12. The box will auto-reboot few times until finished.
13. First boot can take up to 10 minutes.
14. Wait 15 minutes after first boot to allow system and apps to initialize.
15. Enjoy folksy AK-CS custom firmware with preset Kodi 18.4 adapted skin AEON NOX SiLVO

- Android English language vs Russian language.
- Time zone Athens vs Moscow.
- YouTubeTV, Pandora vs SmartYouTubeTV, TORServer.
- Kodi English language vs Russian language

Know problems:
- Weather must be set as Moscow, London, Paris, etc.
- Google Play services may need manually updated.

- our kodi_for_restored.zip doesn't include banned addons, discussion about addons witch are included on Kodi banned addons are strictly forbidden on that forum.
- kodi_for_restored_(...).zip is a standard zip archive of unpack Kodi backup without include folder yyyymmddMMSS.
- for kodi_for_restored.zip don't use  standard compressed Kodi backup because that include yyyymmddMMSS folder.
- user can use they own kodi_for_restored.zip file if doesn't like our adapted skin AEON NOX SiLVO.
- our adapted skin AEON NOX SiLVO are optimized for English language, foreign user will need to deal to adapted for they needs.

How to install Magisk - The Magic Mask for Android on Q5Pro/Q10Pro/Q30 Android 7.0

0. Backup, backup, backup all your data.
1. HiMedia Q Series box running OFW/CFW/ATV v2.1.x.
2. Download Magisk Manager on your Android device from here.
3. Download corresponding update_patched_boot_Magisk_v(...)_Q(...)_v(...)_[1.x].zip from here.
4. Rename update_patched_boot_Magisk_v(...)_Q(...)_v(...)_[1.x].zip to update.zip
5. Copy update.zip to USB flash root and apply as Local Upgrade(Settings/Upgrade/Local Upgrade/...)

6. Install Magisk Manager get at point 2.
7. Open Magisk Manager and finish setup

8. Enjoy testing Magisk Manager, Superuser, modules.


Note:
- Some application maybe become unstable.
- Magisk on CFW  ATV are not supported yet. Fixed request last CFW ATV from here.

Uninstall:
1. Completed uninstall from  Magisk Manager.
2. Flash with paper clip file renamed as update.zip at point 4 or do dirty install with FW running on your box.

I open this poll because CFW base on HiMedia FW v2.0.7 will be build just because request of community.
Poll will be open for next 3 days and topic will be locked after CFW for Q10/Q5Pro base on HiMedia v2.0.7 will be on mediafire.
In a case of equals a vote will declare on favor of Daydream support by adding my vote.

Don't spam with request of bug fix from already know HiMedia FW bug list.

Later complains about want or not Daydream screensaver support on dedicate Q5/Q10 Pro Custom Firmware topic will be reported as SPAM.
