I download the latest nightly build and I have no problems (but I have no interest in Dolby Sound; Dolby Vision; subtitles; 3D; ... so I don't know if they work)

Do you have frame rate adaptation?
I don't.
Kodi writes that on lower right corner but I have to do manually.

Many of KODI's BASIC video playback features like auto freque and resolution switching, proper deinterlacing, HD audio (or now even DD or DTS) isn't working at all on these Boxes, right from the beginning. HiMedai would need to develop a special KODI  fork for this matter, as the developers of KODI have no interest to optimize it for this Chipset (or to any other Android based players Chipset, as to that).  And guess what, HiMedai has also no interest or willingness to develop their own optimized KODI version at all. So KODI versions will come and go for ages, and you still will have to stuck to the Wrapper and use KODI only as a Media Library.

I know, but using Leia, the wrapper doesn't change the frame rate too.

I have read on the KODI forum, that Leia has some troubles with External Player handling (from playecorefactory.xml file) also on PC, that isn't fixed yet.  Maybe these issues are related.  I would wait for the final Leia release and hope for a fix. Or you can post your issue (presuming if it's also KODI related) to the KODI forum-> Android -> External Players Thread.

Leia is Alpha software.
Do not use it.

If you complain about issues with alpha software of any kind, you are dumb.

Excuse me mr dancewithchickens, maybe you missed the first part of this thread.
1) The base of this box is Kodi;
2) If HiMedia is not working NOW with new (alpha) releases of Kodi, when stable release will be issue, wrapper will be not compatible and we'll have to continue to use 17.6.

The point is that Kodi have broken something in 18 alpha related to how external players are called, so this is Kodi's problem to fix. If this problem persists in final version of 18 then that might be the time to ask HiMedia to do something about it, but for the time being this is very much a Kodi problem.

I suggest posting on the Kodi forum to try and ensure they fix it in final release.

Beta 1 released.
If I watch something via wrapper, then Kodi close itself.
If I watch something via Kodi, frame rate doesn't change.

Both are know problems search on Kodi forum
- Kodi 18 beta1 have broken external player
- Kodi frame rate change is not support on this SoC
Frame rate change is support on nightlies builds for Nvidia Shield TV/Mi Box/Amlogic/AFTV in a case if they not broken.

Yes, I'm getting the same ... but there is worse to come  :o!

I'm still using Kodi 18 beta 1 but, as you say, it has problems! I  did  start using the nightly builds for beta 2 but they failed very quickly  >:(. After a few weeks of nightly installations they stopped working. If you install the latest nightly build for beta 2 then Kodi will crash immediately with a "Kodi keeps stopping" message every time. So I've had to reinstall beta 1 and stay with it. It's not possible to "upgrade" to Kodi 17.6 when you have Kodi 18 on your box.

Well, you are much further ahead than me!  I downloaded Leia Beta 1 today (64bit, right?).  When I went to install it on my Q10 Pro (via ES File Explorer), I got an error message saying it was "incompatible".  Currently running the latest custom build.

You say Beta 1 has its problems... do those problems make it unusable?  Is the Kodi 10 Beta 1 capable of achieving "spousal acceptance", or should I wait for the official release?  Thanks!

To tell the truth, I am finding Kodi less and less relevant.  There are now Android apps that integrate Real Debrid and if you subscribe to a decent IPTV service, their catch-up, VOD and live TV offerings beat most Kodi addons and don't have the buffering issues.  "Local" network content can also be accessed by apps as well.  However, on a RPi setup or similar, Kodi still has its place.
