It's Chinese New Year holiday in China now, so nobody is working.
After the holiday HiMedia will be looking at why there is not multi-channel audio in Kodi 17 using Kodi internal player.
In the meantime Kodi 17 plus wrapper works perfectly.
My opinion is that Kodi+wrapper is a better solution in general because it eliminates one possible cause of bugs/problems, namely Kodi development/non-development.
I will post my settings here in case it helps, 7.1 channel audio works for me in general with KODI 17 RC3:
I get no audio output at all with those settings.
Everything of course plays perfectly using wrapper.
With Android 7 releases (I don't remember how it worked in version 5.1) you don't get multichannel audio.
HD Audio passthrough is working. So if you pass the audio to a DTS/DD capable AVR you will get multichannel audio.
This issues with overlapping subtitles can be easily fixed, just run the subtitles through a software that can fix this even in a batch. I really do not see this as such a big issue like the others that have not been fixed by HiMedia and cannot be fixed by us.
Very disappointed!
Resolution bug still here (if I set 2160p, after reboot, swirch itself to 1080p).
No fixes on subtitles that disappear when timing is too close.
I think I will give the last chance to this "machine" with fw 1.09 and then Iwill move away from himedia.
I have just uninstalled the Wrapper to test Kodi 17 and passthrough and on my setup it isn't working, reinstalled Wrapper and it is fine.
What is the IP address when checked using the Q10 Pro in Settings - Network?
The batch file is correct. It works.
The problem is incorrect IP address or something else to do with your network. It's a simple batch file, with the error messages you're getting the problem cannot be anything else.
