I can bet a coffee if HiMedia have new SoC and pioneering first Android player with HDR10+/Chroma 4:2:2/4:4:4 support many owner of HiMedia Q Pro series will buy it.

BTW I don't know to exist finished(free of bugs) android media player available on market.

This brand is  a JOKE. I buy this q5 pro over an year.....since then only promises and shitty fixes...F this!!!! Nothing change...Until now I owned an q5-2 a q5 quad and a q5 pro ........All of them was never finished!!!! I will be a real retard to buy next model ...

I can only say: "Bugfixes should be released sooner".
If a device doesn't make everything written in (on) the box it'is non compliant.
First of all this is an android box NON COMPLIANT with many android APKs (eg. Amazon Video).

Running Android not is mean get compatibility with application, easy to see this on Samsung Galaxy device witch get Android Nougat update and break compatibility with many application. I can't  declare Samsung Galaxy device are NON COMPLIANT, event Samsung forced Android Nougat on device.

In my humble opinion, SERIOUS indicates some trait of Character, while Samsung's main characteristic depicted here is SIZE.
Size does not equal seriousness.
Maybe only serious Business, money making for shareholders.
This does not necessarily imply quality of product or firmware/support.
Neither client orientation or support.

Sadly, but partially true. Samsung isn't that reliable company that used to be in the 90's and the early 2000's. See just what they do with their TV firmware updates... Mass production trends and generating artificially the ever higher consumerism takes all bigger companies nova days in an all-wrong direction including the ignorance regarding true and long term user satisfaction... Tho' they still have some best-buys and good offers in most categories, but it's like a 10:100 chance to catch them if your not an experienced Tech-Forum bookish...

With such a disaster like 2.0.3 released one should think HiMedia should be in a hurry to releasy a bugfix release 2.0.4 as soon as possible.

Hell no. I hope they don't include any big changes / new features, just fix the damn buglist already and I will be happy.

I wasn't having a very bad experience with 2.03 until yesterday when the shit hit the fan: out of nothing all apps started to crash including the launcher. Reinstalled with the restore button method, the first time I opened Youtube it crashed, first time I used tTorrent it crashed...
Installed pcristi custom firmware and all seems well now.
