on another line of reasoning, it seems to me that the solution is either installing new subtitle encondings, or fonts to Kodi and Wrapper OR to reencoding the subtitle (a pain in the ash...) since Eastern European is missing. Even in Himedia Player itself, there is a possibility to setup Romanian but is not really the necessary encoding...
EDIT: Found out that the UTF Romanian subtitle is displaying correctly, whereas the ANSI encoded one has issues. Thanks for pointing me to the right direction. Hope this solves at least partially the problem. Now I am looking for a little utility on whose icon I could drop the subtitle, in order to do a simple autodetect and conversion to UTF8. Hope I could find one. Cheers.
