Thank you for this. How do i do that, checking the encoding that is. In the subtitle file's properties is not mentioned...
on another line of reasoning, it seems to me that the solution is either installing new subtitle encondings, or fonts to Kodi and Wrapper OR to reencoding the subtitle (a pain in the ash...) since Eastern European is missing. Even in Himedia Player itself, there is a possibility to setup Romanian but is not really the necessary encoding...
EDIT: Found out that the UTF Romanian subtitle is displaying correctly, whereas the ANSI encoded one has issues. Thanks for pointing me to the right direction. Hope this solves at least partially the problem. Now I am looking for a little utility on whose icon I could drop the subtitle, in order to do a simple autodetect and conversion to UTF8. Hope I could find one. Cheers.

[DVI also doesn't pass audio signal, so it's not a good option, unless you pass audio via digital output SPDIF and not HDMI.
Not sure where you get your incorrect information from but I am successfully using the two DVI adaptors on my Q10Pro and can assure you, full HDMI passthrough for video and 7.1 audio works!!  It is simply a cheaper option to the Lindy adaptor to remove CEC.

I just made some investigations and it seems that the only way to pass audio is to use , as you say, a DVI-HDMI adapter, but you have to make sure it is the complete DVI-D with all the pins on it.
So my apologies, you were right. I was not able to find any info about 7.1 sound, but if you do have 7.1 sound, then great! Good to know! We all learn something everyday! :)

Dear Futeko!

Could you please give -finally- a clear, distinct, exact, and straight answer to my following question:  does 23.976 fps switching work correctly and in all cases with the 2.0.3 fw, or not?!

Thank you!

Hi,

I can't set set my physical keyboard to my country's layout, it seems to be permanently with the US layout. Is this a bug or there's something I'm missing.
Also, is it possible to have keyboard shortcuts to copy/paste.

Thanks

I think not, because pcristi made a patch for this version:

Can anybody confirm that this fix the fps switching problem?
Kind Regards!

As I told you DVI is video ONLY. And this is true, but I found out that some use spare/reserved pins to transmit audio.

Depends on the DVI version supported by the DVI device output/input, interface, cable and converters.  The latest (last) DVI version supports audio as well.

Hi! Not shure im in the right place, but i have a problem after updating to Kodi 17.1. I lost the command button(right corner below direction wheel) that access the "submenu" for adding Movies, Movie info and some other commands. Does anyone know if this command is in the Kodi controller setup(or maybe its just for game controllers)  and if so, what it is called? Or is it something from the Q10 Pro setup?

I think HiMedia Left the building? We hear nothing about an update and this latest update is one big drama!

The remote control remapping is a Kodi 17.1 special!

Full details to disable Joystick Support are shown on this thread (courtesy of @pcristi):

I am still running the suggested Kodi 17.2RC release in the same thread, with no issues.
