I have a very similar issue here and it has just happened now, and several other times in the past : the q10 crashes while running an app ( I was using spotify a few minutes ago ), and I have to turn it off by removing the plug. Then it restarts as if I had just installed the firmware from scratch and all my apps and settings are gone.
It has happend both with Android N firmwares ( now I'm running cfw 2.0.5 ) and with Android 5 firmwares ( 1.0.8 and 1.0.9).
I wonder wether the cause might be the same. In that case I would try buying a new PSU from you.
Thank you
Giacomo

HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / Re: Fw 1.0.9 periodic hangs on boot.
« on: May 31, 2017, 09:00:55 PM »
Hi Mount81. I experienced a similar issue for 3 times with firmware 1.0.9. The rebooting phase could take several minutes instead of about 30 sec. After the long reboot my q10 had lost all my settings, google play account and apps as if a factory reset had been made. The himedia  wrapper was among the uninstalled apps too. Then I made a new install of firmware 1.09 with the paper clip method. After the third reset I decided to go back to firmware 1.08 . I've been using it for about 3 months and the strange delay in booting and reset has never happened again
Bye Giacomo.

HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / SPMC: Wrapper does not work
« on: April 19, 2017, 02:04:59 PM »
Hi , I installed SPMC on my Q10 pro running Android 5 firmware version 1.08, so now I have both Kodi 16.1 and SPMC installed on it.
The wrapper works on kodi  but not on SPMC  ( when I play a movie in SPMC kodi internal player is used while in Kodi Himedia player).
Is very any way to use the wrapper for SPMC too?

Thank you very much
Giacomo

HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / Re: HiControl
« on: March 09, 2017, 09:11:32 AM »
Hello Futeko. Yesterday my phone ( ASUS ZENFONE3) received the update to Android Nougat.
My Q10 pro is running on Android 5.1 firmware version 1.08 and the hicontrol app has always worked fine before the update.
Now when I open the hicontrol app and tap on my Q10 IP address I get an error and the app is closed.
Is there any fix to the problem?
Thanks
Regards

HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / Samba suddenly stopped working
« on: January 11, 2017, 09:30:51 AM »
Hello, last week I loaded via OTA the last android 5 firmware.
Everything has worked fine for a couple of days than, last friday,  my Q10 crashed and I had to turn off the electric plug and restart again since the off button didn't work.
When it restarted it was as if a factory reset had been made: all  my kodi setup where lost  and also all the apps I had installed were lost. The wrapper app was missing too and I had to reinstall it downloading the apk from the link in this forum.
Since then the samba service has stopped working and my Q10 is not visibile in my home network.
If I go to settings I can turn it on and off ( and it says it has regularly started/stopped), but nothing changes in my home network.
What could I try to do to try to make it work again?
Thank you very much.

HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / Re: [PATCH] Mount storage by UUID / Label
« on: January 02, 2017, 02:12:50 PM »
Hello, the hard drive is still seen as empty if I browse it by label. I sent you,  as you asked me, the result of  the blkid adb shell command.
Should I, although the labels are ASCII  437 and unique  change the  current internal hard disk label (Store4TB). If I do it I should run again the path right?
Thank you very much.

HiMedia Q10 Pro, Q5 Pro / Re: [PATCH] Mount storage by UUID / Label
« on: December 29, 2016, 12:34:54 PM »
Hello, I still have a problem after running the patch ( I chose standard installation)
My Q10 pro has firmware 1.0.8 2016-10-12.193826 .  It has an external usb 3 hard disk (3TB) and an internal sata hard disk 4 TB. Both work correctly and  I can access them both with the file explorer  and as samba windows share with my windows pc as well.

After the install if I select  the disk by uuid  folder I see them both and I also see their content, while if I select the disk-by-label  I see both labels (volume for the usb one and store4tb for the internal) but   the internal hard disk is seen as empty (no folders and no files are displayed).

Thank you very much.
Best regards
Giacomo

Does it work with a usb 3.0 hub connected to the q10 usb 3.0 port and a couple of usb hard disks connected to the hub?
Thanks a lot.
