SAMBA NOT WORKING
« on: October 19, 2017, 02:11:02 AM »
hello everyone. I can't for the life of me figure out how to have my internal 3.5" hdd show up in Windows explorer. Samba is successfully started on the q10. I am wired to the q10 with ethernet, not wifi. I am on Windows 10 pro and I am running the latest firmware 2.0.5. Windows explorer will show the the internal hdd of the q10 itself, but not my 3.5" 3tb. What gives? Any suggestions?

Have you allowed file sharing on the network? Have you added the q10 to the sharing network?

Yes I have file sharing on. And the q10 shows up in the list of "allowed" devices, hence still being able to see the device itself with its own storage in explorer, just not my hdd.

The drive should be visible at /share/media_rw/sda1 (or sda2, sdb1 etc)
