I wasn't having a very bad experience with 2.03 until yesterday when the shit hit the fan: out of nothing all apps started to crash including the launcher. Reinstalled with the restore button method, the first time I opened Youtube it crashed, first time I used tTorrent it crashed...Installed pcristi custom firmware and all seems well now.

What a piece of crap, everything is crashing all the time, how downgrade to previous firmware?
As it happens, the firmware with HDR unusual aspect ratio fix will probably be called 3.0. HiMedia still say mid May, although with 2.0.4 not out yet this date will probably slip.At this moment in time Egreat A5/A10 firmware is better for media playback using Egreat media player. It has BD menus, the interface is better, poster wall etc. Egreat are also waiting for the HiSilicon HDR unsual aspect ratio fix though, so Egreat A5/A10 will not help with that. HiMedia are better for Kodi because they have the wrapper. To get full hardware on Egreat you need to use VidonXBMC, which is based on Kodi 16.1.
