Use MX Player. ;)

This bug is still not fixed in the new firmware. Subtitles using Wrapper are missing lines all the time. This is not simply "a bug". It clearly makes me unable to properly use the device for the purpose I bought it for. I need proper working subtitles. Please Futeko respond to this ASAP.

I have adjusted subs timing in the past while running a video but that will have been with Android 5 and release 1.07. I didn't notice any problems. Dropping back to that release might be a fix if subs are necessary.
Assuming you use srt subs, there are utilities that can resync the times permanently throughout the file. Subshifter is an online tool that I use frequently.
You might also try running without the wrapper.

Thanks but this is hardly a fix. All decent media players display the subs properly. Q5/Q10 Pro should too.

hello Grifone1893 ,
1 you use which firmware ?
2 when you found this problem, you use "wapper" or local player or other player?
-
1. Starting from 1.09 fw to latest.
2. Only wrapper has this problem.

There is test videos with ext and int subtitles: https://cloud.mail.ru/public/FqB3/NsaSg5n5M

Nothing new here overlay subtitles are not support on HiMediaVideoPlayer, 6 too long 7 too short display because of overlay ending time.
BTW not working proper on dedicate player for PC too like MPC-HC, VLC, etc, will see some problems maybe just subtitle line number are different.

I watched several full length movies with MPC-HC when hmp does not shows. It shows properly.

Check your test files, for line 2-3, b-c, will see is too short or too long display, but is true are very rare complete missing line.
LE: Sorry from b-c is not overlay subtitles b end 29,160 and c start on 30,160, not good example for testing subtitles overlay problems.

Also movie start suttering if you try to adjust subtitle time in wrapper.
Dont expect to be fixed. Futeko reported this 4 months ago to Himedia.
Go back to fw 1.08.

Or use alternate players like MX Player.
