This are HiMediaVideoPlayer not Wrapper request
- plays next file automatically, when video is playing just press on IR remote/AirMouse Menu/Play Mode and set your need ex: Single Play
- dim video when paused for a longer period of time already passed to HiMedia like nice to have.

Wrapper plays next file automatically - this should be optional/off.

Wrapper does not dim video when paused for a longer period of time - possible burn-in for Plasma tv owners.

I wish that Himedia  make functional sharpness option of Imprex Processing Engine 2 .

Imprex 2 being more subtle than Imprex 1 is something HiMedia say will be improved upon in the next firmware.

Hello!

My feature requests would be:

1. To select external subtitles which are differently named as the video, and (like in a browser, that only shows subtilte files),  even from a different folder.->Tho' many MP manufacturers didn't even bothered with the idea so far, that would be a really cool and landmark feature to see in Himedia players first. (Something I identify as an obvious, yet uncomprehendedly impaired feature.)

2. The  "Shadow" of the subtitles could be better and nicer profiled. It's -some unusual way- gray and not wery distinctive or nicely contoured, black colour would go better in general for shadows just as for readibility. Also an option for choosing character thickness (rather than just the size) would be a nice feature. But stricktly speaking i mean something like the default subtitle character in "Media Player Classic Home Cinema", that I just miss sometimes...

3. Subtitle Time adjustment scale extended to +5, -5 minutes. ->(Mostly anticipated!)

4. An option to expand 21:9 aspect ratio 3D iso videos to 16:9 apsect ratio (so it can fill the whole screen on a FHD (or even on 4K) TV. I know This sounds a bit unusual, but I just prefer sometimes the "bigger picture" in overall (despite some -in my point of view- barely recognizable stretching).  TV's in 3D mode don't have such an adjustment option, and I take a chance on that It might could be solved with the Box instead.

5. An app (or shortcut like solution) to close background running apps. I have this issue with Poweramp app, which with the
"Home" button wouldn't close (or exit) completly and it keeps running in the background (does go back to the Home screen however). This causes the media controll buttons (Play/Pause, FF,FR) on the remote to still reacting to Poweramp, whichever application I run afterwards (like Himedia Player), so I must navigate always to Settings->More->Apps->Running->Close to close it manually. It may seem a bit rare inconviniency, but  it's already pesky enough if there are nothing but a few applications concerned.

6. An option to access the bottom Notification Bar via the stock remote.

7.(Bonus) An option to save and change Imprex settings in different profiles. Even with user naming the profiles or just an option to choose between them on the go (Like : Porfile 1, Profile 2, etc...) It could be usefull in the cases of frequenty rotating between different quality HD and SD (and sometimes more noisy) source videos.

Thanks and I hope some of them will get the attention for consideration... :)

Some players have a "Browse for file option". Would be great.

Asked for exactly the same. Should be on the list already. Current 1 Sec is useless.

This causes the 5edia controll buttons (Play/Pause, FF,FR) on the remote to still reacting to Poweramp, whichever application I run afterwards (like Himedia Player), so I must navigate always to Settings->More->Apps->Running->Close to close it manually. It may seem a bit rare inconviniency, but  it's already pesky enough if there are nothing but a few applications concerned.
Can be done by pulling up the Notification Bar from the bottom. There is an option for this.

How the Notification Bar can be accessed via the stock remote? I guess one need at least a different imput device for this (like an air mouse). And which icon on the Bar did you mean? From the "Recent Apps" (the quad icon) menu you won't be able to close them, it just list the recently runned apps, but not the ones that are still running, the "X" on the corner just removes them from this specific list. (Have tried and checked in Setting->More->Apps->Running in the case of Poweramp).

Thanks!

Edit: modded the list, with the Notification Bar access request.

1. I will pass this onto HiMedia. It may already be implemented in next firmware which will make changes to the subtitle part of HiMediaplayer.

2. I believe this will be improved in next firmware.

3. Definitely improved in next firmware. Up to +/- 10 seconds. Do you mean 5 minutes? Or seconds?

4. A zoom function for himediaplayer has been requested before but I see it as unlikely to happen. It would require work by HiSilicon. A 3D ISO zoom function is very unlikely.

5. Using mouse you can pull up the nav bar, select the square icon to get a list of recent apps, and close them. But this requires a mouse. Better access to this function using remote has been requested by us. We'd like direct access to the recent apps menu using a single remote button (e.g. 0).

We really mean 5 minutes for time shifting. A change to 10 sec helps only for some sources. Please implement a number of wheels to adjust shifts logarithmic (e.g. 100 msec, sec. 10 sec, min) or use a slider.

This has to do with subtitles made for various sources. The intro's may be different in length or be stripped altogether leading to very big off-sets for subtitles.

It may make sense to make a  structural difference between internal and external subtitles. The big adjustments are typically for external subtitles.

3. Yes I meant also 5 minutes. However, 10 sec is also better than the current, but might worth go with the bigger scale already in the first run.

5. I don't know if how it might be limited or possible in the OS, but I guess accessing the whole bottom Nav Bar (witrh a single button on the stock remote) would be a more full solution. From where we could reach the other Bar icons and fuctions as well, if they're would be selectable with the remote and highlighted as selected.

However as I have written in the previous post, I don't think the "Recent Apps" menu has to do anything with the "Backgrund running apps", rather than -as it's been titled- only with the recently runned, but closed apps, as far as I could unravel. Please see my previous post for details. (Or I might be wrong in this case, or missunderstood how it works,  as I'm unexperienced in Andoid in general, but you can check it by your self, that the lists of the apps  in the "Recent Apps" and in the Settings->Apps->Running menu are totally different... And "X"-ing e.g. Poweramp app within "Recent Apps" menu, won't close it, as I have tried.) So another solution might be better to cook up.

For the rest, it's good to read that the other changes are on the way in the next fw! :)

Thanks!

This strange request 5 minutes --> 6000 steps of 100ms witch is not practical or is wrong understanding your request.
For fixing out of sync subtitles with huge problems is better to search for other version or use dedicate software  on PC  like: Subtitle Workshop.

10 seconds in 1.0.6 beta2 HiMediaVideoPlayer is already 200 steps

10 seconds in 1.0.6 beta2 HiMediaVideoPlayer is already 200 steps

OK some explanation as not everybody has the same needs.

a) Yes 200 clicks is already too much, but there are other (smarter) ways to skin this cat. You e.g. may deploy a slider control + small steps or use separate wheels per digit to do this. Was already pointed out. I can make a snapshot of a media player doing this really nice.
b) Getting another (correct) subtitle file may often work for English  subtitles but try this with other languages like Dutch or Spanish which many of us  need. Often there is only one or just a few all having the wrong off-set.
c) Using tools for editing is nice if you plan to see the same movie often. But we are talking about time-shifting for one-time viewing mostly. I also need on-demand subtitles for occasional family/friends/visitors joining my viewings not understanding the original audio/subtitles included (mostly English)
d) It is meant specifically for External Subtitles only not for Internal as these should not have such big off-sets. For Internal subtitles 10 sec is already adequate. This may ease the actual implementation.
