Hi there, my Mini MX box was acting very strangely today (hanging, crashing, etc..) so I have had a look at the system info and CPU2 is showing 100% constantly while the rest are showing between 0%-2% is it possible there is a fault with the box? tried to reboot (warm & cold) but this did not made any different... stiil CPU2 is showing 100%. Help...

I wouldn't have thought a partial chipset failure (leaving only one functional CPU) was possible (a hardware failure at that level would cause the whole chipset to shut down) so I think it unlikely it's hardware.

What firmware is the box running? What apps are you running, if any?

I would suggest updating firmware to 105 and seeing how that goes. I would expect it to resolve any problems.

I am currently running what I believe is the latest firmware OPENELEC 7, KODI 16RC1 (its a brand new unit).
The issue is starting at boot up, once I boot the unit, before I run anything it shoots up straight to 100%.
Strangely enough, I have noticed that after about 45min to an hour, the CPU utilization is starting to stabilize and the unit starting to behave normally (CPU temp goes to 74c). which then leaving me with the option of leaving the unit constantly on (getting very hot) or starting it as soon as I get home in the evening and wait for it to stabilize  :-\ :-[

I think I will wait for the newer Kodi 16 (not RC) version to come out and then I will flash the unit, maybe this will help.

I use the unit to mainly to stream movies and music from my local NAS and a bit of on-line streaming, nothing to heavy...
