IMPORTANT! THIS FIRMWARE IS FOR EUROPEAN Q5 4K3D (MANUFACTURED AFTER NOVEMBER 2014) ONLY. DO NOT TRY AND FLASH IT TO OTHER REGION Q5 4K3D.

Installation Instructions:

1. Copy update.zip to the root of a USB pen drive.
2. Insert the USB pen drive into any USB port of the Q5 4K3D.
3. With the Q5 4K3D turned off, use a paper clip or pen to press and hold the the pinhole restore button on the side of the Q5 4K3D (next to the USB ports).
4. While keeping the restore button pressed, turn on the Q5 4K3D.
5. The Q5 4K3D will show an Android droid logo and proceed to upgrade the firmware.
6. The box will auto-reboot when finished.

Having it installed by default is a good idea but would need the app changing to make it clearer what it does. A user who hadn't read this forum might run it to see what it was and install the wrapper (irreversibly - breaking some Kodi add-ons) by mistake. If it is to be included by default it would need uninstall options and better documentation. I will mention it to HiMedia.

Ok, I think I realized 
1 Himediawrapper is a permanent installation without option to uninstall
2 Himediawrapper is just required for hd audio (dd true hd and dts hd ma) and for correct 3D iso display
3 With it some add-ons could not work
4 When you have problems whit some add-ons if you choose the internal dvd player from kodi, the problems still existing ?

With 23,796 movies I have occasionally audio drop outs every 10 to 15 minutes while bitstreaming (RAW) to my AV amplifier.

I hope this can be fixed?

The 3D ISO problem is known by Himedia and is being worked on.

That's the first time I've heard about the 23.976 problem. Could you try another HDMI cable?

Yes I have tried a different cable already . It seems to get a little bit better by turning off the wlan. When playing a 24 or 50 hz the is issue doesn't occur.

The 23.976 part of the firmware has been tested fairly extensively without problems and we have been unable to replicate it here.

Does anyone else see this problem?

Same problem here when playing 3D Movies.  If I set display -screen size position to fit for 3D, then in 2d the image is chopped and I must adjust again the image.

Known issue as Futeko pointed out... 3D is playing at 720p, while rest at proper 1080p. Probably why you're having screen sizing issues.
