Kodi- will not allow wookie to install
« on: August 18, 2016, 10:58:20 AM »
Hello,

I was given a MiniMx by a friend a while ago and im chuffed with it but there is one problem- tried to install wookie wizard via Kodi and it won't allow me to select the install button or any other options on Wookie. Is there a reason behind this? I've tried installing  kodi 16.1 to see if that works and also restored to factory settings and tried on kodi 16.0 but it still won't let me install. The box comes with Kodimate but when I selected wookie and clicked install nothing happened.

Is it an update issue? I tried to update the firmware for the box and I got check failed: check your OTA servier Argent but I think that means the firmware is up to date?  Any ideas?

I look forward to hearing from someone soon.

:)

I'm not sure about wookie. It's not allowed to be discussed on this forum

Latest firmware is 1.0.7. OTA sometimes doesn't work so I recommend checking your firmware version (Settings - About) and if it's an earlier version updating. Download link here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=537.0

Or switch to OpenELEC. If you only use Kodi then it's faster and more compatible than Android Kodi. This is the link for the latest version of OpenELEC: http://www.amlinux.ru/image/905/6.95.3.2/OpenELEC-Amlogic.aarch64-MiniMX-6.95.3.2.zip Install instructions here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=537.0 After installing OpenELEC you'll get automatic updates, and probably one immediately. It will update to LibreELEC, the new name for OpenELEC community build.
